In Owari Asahi, there are 18 “delicious tea shops” stores which are approved by the Japan Tea Association as of June 2016, it is the number one in Japan. The festival is hosted, planned, and managed by the Owariasahi Tourism Association.
Miyazakien will open the shop in the tea bazaar area. In the bazaar, you can buy domestic and world black tea at the same time, and you can taste most of the tea. Although it is said that the tasting paper cup is sold at the entrance of the venue (three pieces / 10 yen planned), you can have your own cup. Also, there are not only black tea, but also Japanese tea, Chinese tea and sweets and tea goods.

On the coming 18th September (holiday), Miyazakien will open a temporal shop in a tea festival held in HDC Nagoya in the Dai Nagoya building in the Nagoya city Nagoya station area. The festa is held from the 16th to the 18th on the 10th-11th floor in the Dai Nagoya building, and there are tea seminars, sweets making, drinking comparison section etc. Admission, tasting in a drinking comparison section, etc. are free (some reservations priority).
The full moon tea ceremony is about two weeks away. Although I’d like to say, preparation is going well, Obon holiday was quickly finished preparing for organic certification, and was forced to weed out last weekend.
Yesterday we finally got a prospect of lighting, the performers came last week, talking about various preparations.
This is second year to have the full moon tea ceremony. The leaf you picj in this event will be used for making the Japanese black tea, Wa Kocha. In developing Wa Kocha, we tried various fermentation of various tea leaves of various periods in various ways and how the taste and scent change. As a result, what we found interestingly was using the second crop of the native species “Hongu”, it was the best to make the present tea.
Native species are weaker compared to recent tree species due to yield and disease resistance, so tea farmers who produce tea leaves and deliver them in large quantities are almost switching to such a recently developed tea tree. However, in the Miyazakien, it happened to include various species of trees, including the native species field, we were able to experiment with various kinds of trees, and now we are still improving.
Do you know what it is? You may say it seems it is kind of fruit. Right. This is a seed of Japanese tea.
When ripening, the shell cracks naturally, and the fruit of tea jumps out.
The condition of this tea fruit was the basis of the map symbol of the tea plantation in Japan. We often see them on the tea field, and we often see it staying on the tree of the tea.
There may be encounters with the full moon tea ceremony held in our tea plantations.
Today, we had a meeting of the full moon tea ceremony held on 6th September.
As the name suggests, the full moon tea ceremony is an event where tea ceremonies are held at the tea plantation of the Miyazakien, on the evening of the full moon when the moon, the earth and the sun line up in line. You can experience tea picking in the tea field or have tea at the full moon tea ceremony stage. In addition, performance of the erhu, the koto and the violin participate with the ceremony. You can also appreciate the dim sum of the restaurant “Ichimasu”.

In Japan, Bon Festival holiday has started. Miyazakien is busy for welcoming many tourists at our shop.
Well, this year the full moon tea ceremony season will come soon. We will havA tea ceremony while picking tea on a full moon night. On the full moon night on the coming 6th September, we will hold a full moon tea ceremony organized by Sencha Kokura.

In addition, during the Bon Fest holidays, the Miyazakien is open as usual except on Thursdays of regular holidays. We are now preparing pinch hitter products such as shaved ice until the raw material of soft cream arrives. Of course tea items such as Sencha Tea, Hojicha Tea, Green Tea etc. can also be bought at the store.
Mr. Iida sells his MIU tomatoes and MIU tomato juice at the famous department store and his own direct sales place. In this month, you may see him from August 23 to August 29 at the Weekly Spot of JR Nagoya Takashimaya Basement 2F.

Okazaemon has come at Miyazakien! In this holiday, as part of the “Hidden Okazaki, Harvesting Experience Programme” in the “Okazaki Experience programme” , a nationwide lull character, Okazaemon came to our garden for the experience of the tea harvest of the Miyazakien.
It must be seriously hard work, the harvesting of tea leaves in tea fields in the heat of lightly exceeding 30 ℃ during the day. Miyazaki district in former Nukata town is the intermediate of mountains. The field also has a considerable slope, all people including staffs of us have to take care of the ridge even if we only move in the field, but Okazaemon who did silent work. Those who is inside, people concerned, thank you!
The “Okazaki Experience programme” offers “real” which can only be experienced in Okazaki. In the “Hidden Okazaki, Harvesting Experience Programme”, one of the expedition programme, you can enjoy harvest experience of tea and citrus grown without using agricultural chemicals, a processing experience such as making tea and making Yuzu citrus juice and Yuzu peppers.
In this time, a tea picking experience and a tasting workshop on the terrace newly set up in our tea plantation has held.
And participants also visited the yuzu field that we did not use pesticides. In this hidden Okazaki Harvest Experience Programme, the members of the events will be the owner of a Yuzu citrus tree, and they will have a citrus harvest experience and processing experience. For this time, we invite each participant to choose a yuzu tree for field
The programme will continue for a while this year. We would like to devise great ingenuity so that all participants can be satisfied.

In the last week at the Miyazakien, we harvested the tea leaves for the Japanese black tea at the evening of the full moon.
We make the Japanese black tea with locally grown tea leaves cultivated at the foot of Mt. Hongu in Aichi Prefecture. The sixth generation representative of the Miyazakien, Atsushi have developed it with the cooperation of many people. “Mikawa Wa Kocha”, the Japanese black tea is almost finishing well this year.
“Full moon tea” using special tea leaves harvested on the full moon night, will be used at the tea ceremony in September at Miyazakien.

“Cafe rice” to eat with chopsticks as set meals and homemade cake to take out are also provided. The cafe is often used for lunch, girls’ party, night cafe in a stylish space. Please stop the cafe double by once by all means.
This is a set meal of rice cooked with Hojicha lunch at the end of May when I visited Cafe Dae for delivery. The menu changes on a monthly basis, so I think that it is now a different menu.
